Management Company
Crambeck Management Company Ltd (CMCL) was established to manage the financial and legal affairs of the village. Each household owns one share in the management company and is entitled to a vote on how the funds are used and decisions relating to the village, specifically the election of the committee of directors.
The committee are required to act responsibly in the allocation of village funds and in maintaining the village to a high standard, with environmental and safety issues in mind. Typically this involves property transfers, solicitors' issues, residents' concerns and making decisions on any other relevant topics.
When a property is bought and sold in the village a property transfer is required. This is dealt with by the committee through the managing agents, Garbutt and Elliott, based at Monks Cross. The purchaser is charged £50 for handling all transfers of ownership and the distributing of share certificates.
The committee meet approximately once a month to discuss and resolve village matters. The current members of the committee are as follows:-

If a resident wishes to raise any questions they should initially contact one of the Directors either by letter or in person. This must be signed by the individual before action can be taken. All matters are dealt with in a private and confidential manner.
An AGM is held every year in September. This is a chance for all the residents to get together socially and to discuss any matters that they wish to raise. This is also an opportunity to elect committee directors for the forthcoming year. Approximately one month prior to the meeting a financial pack is distributed to each household.
